Prior to Melity, Mr. Elefant served as President of Origin Digital, a global video application service provider recently acquired by Accenture. During his role, he was responsible for the daily operations of Origin Digital, including product and service development, market analysis, pricing and customer management.
Proceeding to Origin Digital, Mr. Elefant served as director of media services for SAVVIS Communications. As director, he was responsible for SAVVIS’ broadcast production center architecture and infrastructure, collaborating on content delivery and digital media product development, and driving sales through SAVVIS’ partner and reseller channels.
Before SAVVIS, Mr. Elefant was the manager of production and executive producer for Digital Island, where he conceptualized and delivered live multimedia productions such as the American Express Blue concert series, Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys, Madonna, Eminem, and the Comedy Central Indecision 2000 series.
Mr. Elefant was an independent producer in New York and Los Angeles working in Film, Television and Theater. In film, he was involved in Angela, directed by Rebeca Miller, daughter of legendary playright Arthur Miller, in addition to Substance of Fire, SUberbia, Outside Providence and Federal Hill. In television, he was involved in Reno Finds Her Mom, and a first look development deal with HBO Documentaries. In theater, Mr. Elefant was involved in White Mans Burden, A Family Man, Reno Finds Her Mind, and The Users Waltz. Mr. Elefant was also the Executive Producer for the Seraphime Theater company based in New York City.
Mr. Elefant received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Syracuse University.
